Legal guarantee: We're summarizing the legal guarantees that you receive under EEA consumer laws when you use our digital content, services, and goods. Withdrawal right: We're providing information about your legal right to withdraw from the terms within 14 days of agreeing to them if you're a consumer based in the European Economic Area (EEA). We're also including a copy of the EU Model Instructions on Withdrawal in case you want to exercise that right. Additional definitions: We're adding more explanatory text to help you understand certain legal concepts that we refer to in our terms, including "commercial guarantee", "legal guarantee", and "lack of conformity". Improved readability: While our terms remain a legal document, we've done our best to make them easier to understand, including reorganizing some topics so that they're easier to find. Dear Customer, As of 1 October 2021, we will include a surcharge to your invoices or statements for ads that are purchased through Google Ads and for YouTube placements purchased on reservations basis, and that are served in the following specific jurisdictions: • Ads served in Austria: a 5% Austria DST Fee added to your invoice or statement • Ads served in France: a 2% Regulatory Operating Cost added to your invoice or statement • Ads served in India: a 2% Regulatory Operating Cost added to your invoice or statement • Ads served in Italy: a 2% Regulatory Operating Cost added to your invoice or statement • Ads served in Spain: a 2% Regulatory Operating Cost added to your invoice or statement • Ads served in Turkey: a 5% Regulatory Operating Cost added to your invoice or statement • Ads served in the United Kingdom: a 2% UK DST Fee added to your invoice or statement These surcharges are being added to cover a portion of the costs associated with complying with digital services tax legislation in these jurisdictions. Reminder: Choose how your information is used and shared for Gmail, Google Chat, and Google Meet before January 25th, 2021

New Gmail, Google Chat, and Google Meet settings provide you more control over your information

	Dear popea,     You received an email two weeks back to let you know that we are launching two new settings for Gmail, Chat, and Meet to give you more control over your information and help support compliance requirements. With these settings you can choose how your information is used in Gmail, Chat, and Meet and in other products across Google.     If you have already made a choice, please disregard this email.     What do I need to know?     Smart features and personalization in Gmail, Chat and Meet is the first setting, and controls whether your Gmail, Chat, and Meet data can be used to offer smart features within each of these services. Smart features in Gmail, Chat, and Meet that depend on your data include:     •   Automatic email filtering/categorization (Primary/Social/Promotions)     •   Smart Compose and Smart Reply in email     •   Summary cards above your email (Package tracking, travel, and more)     •   Extracting event details to create calendar entries     Smart features and personalization in other Google products is the second setting, and controls whether your Gmail, Chat, and Meet data can be shared with other Google products to enable personalization features. Features in other Google products that depend on Gmail, Chat, and Meet data include:     •   Assistant reminders of your bills due     •   Maps displaying restaurant reservations     •   Travel bundling your itineraries     •   Google Pay showing loyalty cards     What do I need to do?     If you want to continue using the above features and more after January 25th, 2021, you need to choose in Gmail settings to keep these features on. If you have already made your choices for these settings on either your mobile Gmail app or desktop, no further action is needed. You can change these options in Gmail settings at any time.
